School transport, free tickets

School transport is free of charge for those pupils in grades 1-9 who meet the requirements for transport. Free school transport is awarded for one school year at a time. Pupils who have been admitted free tickets can charge their smart cards for communal transport free of charge at the Information Office of the Tampere City Transport, Aleksis Kiven katu 18.

The present stipulations for school transport came into force on 1 August, 2004. Inquiries can be made at the Department of Day Care and Education.
