Planning of green areas includes making plans for the areas reserved as parks in the city plan as well as green areas adjacent to streets.
The planning of green areas has three stages. At the stage of general planning, the most essential objectives are proposed to be included in the budget of the following year. Next, a planning schedule will be made for the objectives that have been accepted in the budget. When starting the planning regarding the realisation of the objective, all factors such as land ownership, data on the basemap, public utility services and cables are examined.
The planner makes a plan on the basis of this information and prepares the documents for the committee handling. The planners also co-operate with the residents and offices of the City of Tampere. They also issue statements on land use planning.
