Team gold to Russian´s boys
The first gold medal in gymnastics went to Russian´s Mihkail Andreev, David Belyavski and Igor Pakhomenko, who won the team competition.
Switzeland´s Hegi Oliver, Pablo Brägger and Michael Meier took silver after a tight battle. Russia was better in points 164.000 - 162.800.
Russia secured the gold at rings and vault, at which the gap to Switzerland was totally more than three points. Switzerland was the best at parallel bars and horizontal bars, but that was not quite enough.
Romania´s key apparatus was floor, on which it took 0.550 more than Ukraine. Romania´s bronze medallists were Andrei Vasile Muntan, Adelin Ladislau Kotrong and Ioan Laurentiu nistor.
Also the top three at the AA qualification came from the medal teams: Belyavski 82.850, Hegi 80.900 and Muntean 80.350. Belyavski´s 16.100 was the highest score of the day.

Shining Tatiana leads the Russians into gold
Russia showed also in the Girls´ team competition, how strong it is in Gymnastics.
Belyavskiy took the all-around gold
Russian´s David Belyavskiy did not his rivals suprise him in the Boys´ gymnastics all-around competition. Belyavskiy was the best on the floor, the pommel horse and the rings and summed 82.150 as his winnig points. Romania´s Andrei Vasile Muntean scored anyway the highest points of the day: 15.600 in the vault. Belyavskiy, the European Junior Championships silver medallist in 2008, will be seen in four apparatus finals on Friday. Muntean beat Belyavskiy on the parallel bars and horizontal bar, but lost too much on the pommel horse and the rings to be able to fight for the gold. In the end of the competition the margin was 1.500 points. Russia got two medals, as Igor Pahkomenko got totally 80.500 points. Pahkomenko and Switzerland´s Michael Meier were very good in the vault, and the Russian was clearly better on the floor and the horizontal bar.Victoria took fourth gold for Russia
Three golds to Great Britain in gymnastics
The last day in the gymnastics was not as much Russian´s as the previous ones.
Yes, Russia got four gold medals in the apparatus finals, but Great Britain was very strong with three golds in the Boy´s side.
Sam Oldham from Nottingham scored 13.775 both on the parallel bars and the pommel horse. That showed that Sam has learnt a lot from his club and training mate Lewis Smith, the Olympic medallist from Beijing.
Oldham is now a gold medallist both at European and Australian Youth Olympic Festival, because he belonged to the British Team in Sydney Games last January. There he could not take part to the individual competition due to an injury.
Another boy from Nottingham, Maximilliam Bennet took GBR´s third gold on the high bar, on which Oldham placed only 5th.
Russia´s David Beliyavskim who was brilliant in the all-around competition, won the rings and the floor. David´s floor score 14.225 was the highest of the day.
Racea took four medals
Romania´s Elena Amelia Racea had almost a perfect day, as she won the Girls´ vault and the beam. When the team competition and all-around medals counted, Racea will bring home six medals from Tampere!
At the Vault Racea´s first performance was not as good as the second one, but the average of 14.487 points gave her victory. On the beam Elena Amelia did a very difficult performance with few mistakes.
Russian´s Victoriya Komova, the all-around winner, scored the same 14.650 as Racea on the beam, but got more minuses.
Anyway, Komova took three medals. The gold came from the unequal bars with top points of 15.000 - the best on Friday. Racea lost as much as 1.050 points, and so did the bronze medallist, Great Britain´s Nicole Hibbert.
Komova was a great favourite on the floor, but she fell on his first vaults and dropped into the 6th place. Russia got still gold, taken by Violetta Malkova.
