Athletes` Leisure Time Activities


During the EYOF 2009 athletes can take part to Leisure Time Activities from 20th
to 24th of July. All of the activities are located at OLV and its surroundings. The
Leisure Time Activities include e.g. games, shows, handicrafts and theme concerts.
All athletes will also receive a booklet which includes information and schedules of
Leisure Time Activities at OLV and in the Hervanta area.

Electricity



The electric supply is 220 V (230 V), 50 Hz.
A two-pin plug system, familiar throughout
Europe, is used.

Catering

Variety of full meals will be served three times a day in four different restaurants. The restaurants will be seperated to the participants according to the accommodation premises. The restaurant will be clearly pointed out in the accreditation card and in all maps, and it will be same for each participants all wee.

The self service restaurants ZIP, EDISON, NEWTON, and SIREENI are located in OLV. Each meal will include a choicec of fresh salads and bread, choice of three second courses, and fruit or dessert.

Meals at restaurants will be served as follows:

Breakfast: 06:30-09:30
Lunch: 11:00-16:00
Dinner: 18:00-22:00

Each athlete has meal right in one restaurant near accommodation. One participant
should eat in the same restaurant during the whole week (the menu will be same in
every restaurant). When arriving to the restaurant each team member must identify
oneself with the accrediting card.

Packed Lunches


Time schedules of the competitions are matched to the meal hours so that each
athlete has an opportunity to eat warm meal twice a day. If needed, packed lunches will be supplied to athletes who are competing all day. Packed lunches will contain a sandwich, fruit, water and juice. The CdMs are requested to order packed lunches one day in advance before 13:00 at NOC Service Centre. Extra 7 € will be charged (cash or credit card) for each packed lunch.

Meals for Accredited Persons


Accredited guests, entitled to access to OLV may purchase meals. The price of the
meal (lunch or dinner) is 10 € per person.

Mobile Phones

Participants and guests coming from abroad should check with their home providers
the prices of calling and receiving phone calls and other mobile phone services
in Finland. For the phone calls made within EU countries, the price roof is used for
phone call prices.

Saunalahti Prepaid – info

Saunalahti Prepaid – subscribe works in Finland and it can call abroad. Subscribes number is previously chosen and it cannot be changed. If you´re phone is sim-locked, prepaid sim-card doesn´t work, you can verify this anytime at our store. We recommend you to check already in you´re homecountry that you´re phone operates in Finland and with finnish sim-card.

NOC Service Centre


The NOC Service Centre is located at the Festia Building at OLV. The main services
available at the NOC Service Centre are:

• General Info centre for NOCs
• Pigeonholes (mail boxes) for NOCs
• Cashier’s office (payments are accepted by Euros or major credit cards)
• Additional transportation services
• Reservations of meeting rooms at OLV
• The catering for meetings

17 July 12:00 – 20:00 and
18 to 25 July 6:30 – 22:00

Money Exchange

Euro (=100 cent) is the only valid currency in Finland. There are money exchange
offices in Tampere city centre open on weekdays and Saturdays. Banks are open on
weekdays normally from 9.30-16.30. In Hervanta suburb there are banks. There are
bank machines (ATMs) near by the OLV and Duo Shopping Centre.

The Guest and Information Centre

The Guest and Information Centre is located in Tietotalo at OLV. The main services
available at the Centre are:

• Accreditation services
• Guest passes
• Possibility to purchase meal rights for the guest passes (payments are accepted
by Euros or major credit cards)
• Wireless network usernames and passwords
• Tourist info for the teams

Wireless network

Wireless network connection is available to use free of charge at the OLV area excluding accommodation premises. Usernames and passwords for own laptops are granted at the NOC Service Centre. In addition, there are about one hundred computers with internet connection at OLV area for the participants to use free of charge with the usernames and passwords.
