EYOF Tampere 2009 Organising Committee gave its progress report to European Olympic Committees (EOC) on its General Assembly in Istanbul

EYOF Tampere 2009 Organising Committee gave its progress report to European Olympic Committees (EOC) on its General Assembly in Istanbul in Turkey on 22 Nov 2008. There were present 48 of 49 member national Olympic committees.

Mr Pekka P. Paavola, Chairman of the Organising Committee; Mr Mikko Heinonen, Project Manager, City of Tampere, Mr Ari Koskinen, Regional Director of Hämeen Liikunta and Urheilu (HLU) and Ms Pirjo Puskala, Chief Executive represented EYOF Tampere 2009 organising committee in the meeting in Istanbul.

There were also present Mr Roger Talermo, President of the National Olympic Committee of Finland and Mr Jouko Purontakanen, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Finland and vice-chair of the Tampere EYOF organising committee.

Mr Jesper Frigast Larsen, Chairman of the Coordination Commission of Tampere EYOF 2009, gave also his progress report. Also Mr Volodymyr Geraschenko, member of the Coordination Commission was present at the meeting. Mr Philip Berben, Technical Delegate for Volleyball in Tampere EYOFs was also present at the EOC General Assembly.
