04. FINNISH AND INTERNATIONAL ART COLLECTION OF THE SARA HILDÉN FOUNDATION,
26 April - 13 July 1980
There was a complete rearrangement of the works in the
museum at the end of April 1980. During this second rearrangement of the
works, as large a selection as possible was made of the paintings, sculpture,
drawings and graphic works of art among the museum's non-Finnish works.
The works were grouped in the following way: modern art
classics were displayed in the Central Gallery, kinetic art and Constructivist
art were in Gallery A, Informalist works were in Gallery B, and Pop Art
and Neo-Realist works were in Gallery C. A selection of graphic art by
foreign artists was placed in the Graphics Room. Finnish art was hung
on the lower level of the museum, with the same principle being followed
as with international art: Finnish Informalist art was placed on Level
B, and Finnish Pop Art and Neo-Realist art was on Level C.
The exhibition was attended by 31,518 visitors.
